The hematology research fund

The “hematology research fund” is an endowment fund whose founding members are IRCS (Institute for Research on Cancer and Blood) and ARCHE (Association for Research in Hematological Cancerology), two historical associations of hematology department of Lyon Sud Hospital.

Collected funds are meant to support any action of general interest related to blood diseases and in particular:

  • Fundamental and clinical research,
  • Patient comfort and treatment,
  • Welcoming patients and their families,
  • The dissemination of scientific knowledge to health professionals and the public.

Fundraising is done:

Via the HelloAsso platform which facilitates the collection of private donations online
By developing a partnership with organizations of general interest or legal entities, carrying out similar or related activities

Examples of achievements

Here are some examples of achievements thanks to our donors:

  • Operational support for the identification of epigenetic markers involved in the effectiveness and toxicity of CAR T-cell therapies,
  • Purchase of light therapy helmets for patients in the department
  • Organization of osteopathy sessions for patients in the department
  • Creation of resource documents for patients, such as “patient journey” sheets
  • Purchase of games for the game library
  • Purchase of crockery…
